A Doncaster man has been sentenced to six years in prison after being found guilty of sexual offences against children.
Martin Allen, 49, of Albany Road, Balby, was found guilty of nine offences on 21 May, after pleading not guilty at a previous hearing.
The charges include inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and allowing a child to watch a sexual act.
At Sheffield Crown Court on Friday (19 June) Allen was served a six year custodial sentence and has also been placed on the sex offenders register for life. He is also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
His offences were committed between 2012 and 2019.
Detective Sergeant Kathleen Coulter said: “This man’s actions were deplorable, and he has rightly been served a custodial sentence for his crimes.
“It is absolutely vital that any victim of child sexual abuse feels they can speak out about what has happened to them. South Yorkshire Police is committed to investigating all reports and we have specially trained officers and partner agencies who can offer support and advice.
“In some cases, it takes a relative, family member, friend or loved one to take those first steps so my message is to everyone, if you have concerns, speak to us.
“Your actions could help safeguard or protect someone who is vulnerable, and they could also bring offenders to justice.”
